Restaurant receipts to CSV

Restaurant receipts have a subtotal, tax, tip and total, often on two slips (itemized and card slip).

How to turn Restaurant receipts into a CSV

Photograph the itemized receipt and the signed slip; drop both and keep the row with the final total including tip.

  1. Open the free receipt scanner.
  2. Drop up to 5 receipt images per batch (free) — text recognition runs in your browser with tesseract.js, nothing is uploaded.
  3. Fix any field in the editable table.
  4. Download CSV.

Tip

Check the parsed total against the card slip — OCR sometimes picks the pre-tip amount.
