Uber receipts to CSV

Uber emails one receipt per trip and the app shows trips one at a time. Uber also offers a full account data download (Settings → Privacy → Download your data) that arrives as CSV files after a day or two, but it is raw and needs cleanup.

How to turn Uber receipts into a CSV

Take a screenshot of each trip receipt in the Uber app (or open the emailed receipt and screenshot it), then drop the screenshots here. Each one becomes a row with merchant, date, total and tax.

  1. Open the free receipt scanner.
  2. Drop up to 5 receipt images per batch (free) — text recognition runs in your browser with tesseract.js, nothing is uploaded.
  3. Fix any field in the editable table.
  4. Download CSV.

Tip

Mark work rides in the Notes column before exporting so your accountant can split business and personal travel.
